Rachel Marasch

Project Designer

With a passion for the psychological impacts of design, Rachel ushers an understanding for how an occupant feels in a space alters their entire experience. By balancing masculine and feminine, playfulness and elegance, she is fulfilled in the challenge of creating spaces that are increasingly welcoming and memorable.

Her interior design pursuits have been ignited since the age of thirteen. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in interior design from Ohio’s Bowling Green State University. Rachel has always had a focus on designing within the hospitality industry, holding a Minor in tourism, leisure, and event planning.  As a credentialed LEED Green Associate, she is magnanimous in doing all she can to help make projects more sustainable.

Rachel joined PHANOMEN after gaining a wide breadth of experience designing education, healthcare, senior living, multi-family, and corporate environments. Her journey has helped define the importance of crafting inclusive spaces for all ages and for those differently abled.

“What I love most about restaurant design…is that you're creating spaces where people are making memories. Even though it's a short amount of time you're there, you always remember how you feel.  And I love that business owners have the opportunity to excel (by which the) design lends a big hand.”

The small team/ casual culture has given Rachel an opportunity to be known and heard, encouraging her growth and professional endeavors. She is awake to the knowledge that even the smallest design choices can take a project from good to over-the-top great, exceeding client expectations. Thus, her contributions build on the collective “Ahh!” of excitement with the PHANOMEN team and clients; those moments when we all just get it.
